MALpractice

We're a Folk & American trio based around Bolton. Our name MALpractice comes from our own names, Martin, Andrew and Lesley. The practice bit might mean we need some or we've done some!
 

Our instrumental line-up wasn't deliberate. We got together as friends and it just so happens these are the instruments that we like to play. We first played together in January 2016 and we've been enjoying it ever since. We like to think that our enjoyment shines out through our music

We perform a folk-ish repertoire, mainly American based. We like to play songs by Bob Dylan, Richard Thompson, Steve Earle and those kind of guys. We also do some traditional UK & Irish folk songs, but mostly rowdy ones with plenty of singalong opportunity

We have hosted a monthly open-mic session for almost 5 years but it is currently on hiatus.  At the moment we're spending time performing at other people's open-mics or playing gigs -  see details on our Gigs page
